The rents are skyrocketing, and Ithacans need relief.
By opting into the Emergency Tenant Protection Act, ETPA, Ithaca could set a cap on rent increases for thousands of units. We want this law to pass, but we need hundreds of tenants standing together to demand it. We’re spending this spring canvassing the buildings that would be eligible for rent stabilization if the City of Ithaca stepped up to protect tenants against landlord profiteering. By standing together, we’ll be able to campaign and win to get this law passed, elect tenant leaders to Common Council, and ensure that our government works for us, not our landlords.
